NHS Market Due diligence for two major private hospital chain acquisitions
Working as an associate for a major healthcare information provider Mark Outhwaite has recently undertaken the purchaser due diligence on the NHS market opportunities for two major independent hospital chains. Working to very tight timetables the work highlighted the risks and opportunities available to individual sites within the chains whether as extant ISTCs or as Extended Choice Providers.
The projects highlighted the need for rapid mobilisation, informed specification, advice and support on the intricacies of the NHS market environment to those unfamiliar with it (including other consultancies and banks involved in the projects), current information sources, modelling skills and the willingness to be available 24/7 to match the requirements of the client.
