Helping team and groups make sense of complexity
Whether working with small teams or large groups great facilitation only works with meticulous preparation and design together with a commitment to act on the outcomes.
We take pride in working closely with you to understand the core questions you need answering and then designing and delivering the right event for your needs.
Accelerated Learning and Accelerated Design Events
We specialise in Accelerated Learning and Accelerated Design Events for up to 150 people. These intensive and high energy sessions span one or two days and engage participants in highly interactive activities. The design seeks to broaden participants scope of understanding and knowledge helping them to share perspectives and gain new insights. They then apply these insights to identifying the core priorities for action and developing the action plans that will deliver on these priorities.
ALEs/ADEs compress what might be several months of engagement into one or two days. They are ideal for use at programme or project scoping and design stages, at key milestones during the programme, for review and validation of project outcomes or for developing and sharing the learning from the programme to support spread and adoption.
In order to ensure that these events are affordable and to support transfer of skills we encourage clients to nominate teams to co-design and deliver these events with us.
Case Studies
Design and facilitation of a two day national stakeholder event for the Department of Health to review the emergent policy on the removal of GP Boundaries and to identify key barriers and drivers to implementation. With over 120 participants this residential Accelerated Learning Event brought together patients, clinical professionals, managers and civil servants for an intensive, constructive and enjoyable series of sessions to review the policy and to develop approaches to its implementation.
An SHA wanted to help non-executive directors in its area make a transition from being reactive to issues about patient safety to taking the initiative and developing the 'rich' questions that would drive improvement in safety. We designed and delivered a one day event for up to 75 participants which successfully kick-started the next stage of their programe.
We are currently designing and delivering a series of 6 Accelerated Design Event for an SHA and the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement to support the development of GP Commissioning Consortia.
